Beauty and fashion often go hand in hand, and now they’ve joined forces to create a limited edition ready to wear collection of shampoos and conditioners. Akira Isogawa, Wayne Cooper and Bettina Liano have collaborated with Sunsilk in Australia for the range of shampoo and conditioners to “bring some ready-to-wear shine to your beauty routine”.
Each designer had input on the look of their bottles, and this is what each designer’s shampoo is said to do:
- Akira Shine Angel Shampoo & Conditioner
Limited Edition Akira for SunSilk shampoo and conditioner are formulated to wrap your hair in luminosity, leaving it infused with softness and shine. With an intoxicating fragrance and light reflecting crystals, your hair is left soft, smooth and irresistibly shiny.
- Bettina Liano Shine Addict Shampoo & Conditioner
Limited Edition Bettina Liano for SunSilk Shampoo and Conditioner are formulated with an intense fragrance and multi-faceted crystals which are designed to lift the shine and intensify the shimmer. The fragrance is fresh and alive, revealing sparkling fruits and vibrant luminous florals that meld into the richness of musk, sandalwood and vanilla. Go on, strut your stuff! - Wayne Cooper Seductive Shine Shampoo & Conditioner
Limited Edition Wayne Cooper for SunSilk with light reflecting crystal dust and the latest fashionista fragrance is formulated to help you discover your best catwalk hair!
They’re all set to retail at $5.99 and should be in your usual Sunsilk stockists by the end of May until October (so if you love it, you had better stock up).
The official launch party for the Sunsilk collection is at the end of the month, our invite must be lost in the mail… actually it just came via email. Watch this space for an update!

I’m sold! I much prefer this than having Kate Moss’ face on my shampoo bottle.
Hmm they sound exactly the same but I guess fashion designers don’t usually do this thing
I’ve tried the Akira and Wayne Cooper one (what can I say, it’s all about the contacts darlink), and the Wayne Cooper one gives more oomph.
I really don’t get the point in this. And I don’t understand how this is going to improve the brand awareness of the designers in question. For starters, why would they want to affiliate themselves with an inferior hair care product? It might make more sense if the products they are helping sell were “designer” style haircare products – or at least products with a reputation for being high quality.
Or maybe I am just a hair snob!
Totally agree with you Kate, I also wonder how different these products are to the normal Sunsilk stuff considering these fashion designers are completely out of their depth and any branding would be cosmetic only.
I think it’s hot!! Can’t wait to pick up some Bettina. It even has her cute jeans tag!! Love the detail.
Wow- these look awesome. I think it’s a great idea everyone aspires to fashion and makes designer fashion accessible! It will look great in the bathroom. Can’t wait to try them.
Cute, not original but at least the designers are doing a collaboration with Sportsgirl or something.
Sunsilk are doing a great job of rebranding themselves aren’t they?
Love the Akira one…the bottle is stunning with the cranes all over it and the shampoo smells amazing!!
Not sure about the whole “crystals” thing..haven’t really noticed any difference there. But as a die-hard fan of Akira’s I will be buying more!!!
