We’d like to introduce you to Carol A. Smith, Senior Vice President/Chief Brand Officer, ELLE Group who was spotted by Chic Report at the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show in Paris with Elle’s Joe Zee. At first glance she’s the perfect doppelganger for Vogue edtrix, Anna Wintour, who was noticeably absent from all the Haute Couture shows this season.
Sure Smith works for the rival company (Hachette Filipacchi vs Vogue’s Conde Nast), but she’s done quite a few things in her time with HFMUS if her bio on their website has anything to say about it.
Smith came to ELLE in 2002 as SVP Group and Publishing Director and has since expanded the ELLE brand to include newsstand specials, retail and entertainment divisions, numerous television partnerships (including Bravo’s Project Runway), a re-launch of ELLE.com and ELLE’s own television series Stylista.
Not too shabby.
Question is, why go for the bob in that shade when you’re going to have people look twice or thrice at you, thinking you’re the Ice Queen herself? Though once Smith flashes those pearly whites, I’m sure we’ll all know the truth.
