After writing about a faux television commercial we shot last year yesterday, we’ve debating what was going to be our first ‘news’ post of 2012. Sorry Golden Globes, you didn’t make the cut. Instead we went with the ridiculously sexy Spring/Summer 2012 campaign by Just Cavalli.
Skinny male models and Terry Richardson-shot campaigns don’t usually get us looking twice (seen it all before in other TR-shot campaigns), but the vibrant and raw romantic style of this shoot caught our eye and had us looking at the campaign several more times. Admittedly, more at the models than the clothes. Starring Lindsey Wixon, Ruby Aldridge, Jac Jagaciak, Benjamin Eidem and Josh Beech, the Just Cavalli Spring/Summer 2012 campaign optimizes our own personal mantra for 2012 – that is to laugh a lot, spend more time with the amazing people in our lives and perhaps get a little naughty on the side.
This current evolution of Just Cavalli brings the brand out from under the glaring spotlight of its parent brand, Roberto Cavalli and its heavy smoulderingly sexy vibe. Instead the new Just Cavalli is is fresh, glamorous and seductive.
But those are all just words – what do you think?
