InStyle magazine has long been renowned for its insider’s guide to Hollywood glamour and style, so of course their L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival show was the perfect teaser to that exact style we can expect to see on the streets of Australia this upcoming Autumn/Winter. Bold hues from the likes of Lisa Ho and Bianca Spender gave us hope of a colourful winter. Dresses were long and billowing, while tailored separates had that slick finish that we have come to expect from both labels. Prints featured prominently from Camilla and Kate Sylvester (but of course) and came in an array of mix and match separates from flowing coats, tops, leggings and dresses, it was a winter runway that didn’t lack any drama, thanks in large part to the thigh high snake skin boots sent down the runway by Camilla. Morrison did not disappoint with a chic collection of metallic separates and pretty leather dresses that should see us through winter.
We also loved the beauty look by L’Oreal Paris’ Makeup Director, Rae Morris – aptly named Velvet Mystery – but more on that in another post.
