If Romance Was Born is known for anything, it’s their uncanny ability to make the whacky wonderful and have us lusting after their unique and quirky looks. And the beauty is no different, with designers Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales not afraid to push the limits.
When Romance Was Born opened Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia yesterday in what can be described as a comic-book-come-to-life bonanza, the eyes of the fashion pack were on the hair and beauty looks just as much as they were the clothes. With models donning bright fire-orange wigs, you could pretty much guarantee that the beauty looks would be just as outrageous. (Outrageously wonderful, that is!) And they certainly were- it’s been awhile since we’ve seen brows this crazy! But somehow it worked perfectly with the overall look of the collection. We think the partnership between Romance Was Born and MAC Cosmetics makeup for MBFWA was a match made in quirky heaven.
