With the kick-off to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) only mere hours away, the style set has descended on Sydney and waits with baited breath to see what some of Australia’s top (and emerging) design talents have planned for their Spring/Summer 2012 collections. While it’s no surprise that this week will see some of fashion’s most influential people out and about, this year the crowd is set to be even more enthralling, with top fashion bloggers Bryan Boy and Candice Lake jetting in to town for the fashionable festivities.
Regarded as one of the world’s most influential fashion bloggers, and regularly spotted front row at shows in New York and Paris, Bryan Boy joins online shoe store, StyleTread, as the guest video blogger for the week. With his own blog receiving 1.2 million hits a month, it is fair to say that Bryan Boy knows what he’s doing, and we’re in for a treat as he provides an all-access pass to his favourite five shows from the week.
We’ll also be able to see exactly what the style set are wearing throughout the week, with Australian-born, London-based style photographer Candice Lake joining Fashion Gallery at eBay to document the best street looks of the week. Recently named by Net-a-Porter as one of the Top 10 Bloggers to watch in 2012, Candice counts Vogue.com UK, Vogue Australia and Glamour UK as regular platforms for her work and is known for her sharp eye and extensive experience both in front of and behind the camera lens.
