The luxury beauty makeup and skincare market just got some major competition in the form of Tom Ford and his new beauty range that encompasses everything from makeup, skincare and beauty tools. Wrapped up in a new deep brown packaging, Ford’s vision is that any woman can create a complete look in which her individual beauty is amplified and she appears to radiate from within.
“A defined beauty look, whether muted and elegant or unabashedly glamorous, lets a woman fully express herself, her mood and the times,” adds Ford.
The Tom Ford Beauty Cosmetics collection consists of three collection: The Colour Collection, The Flawless Complexion, Make Up Brushes and The Radiant Skin. REVIEWED: Tom Ford Beauty Shade and Illuminate
The art of contouring is well… an art. But this duet of highlighting and shading creams by Tom Ford are designed to make sculpting and contouring the face a lot more intuitive. Available in two intensities (light and dark – we have dark), Tom Ford Beauty’s Shade and Illuminate comes in a beautiful mahogany coloured compact with gold accents. The cream is soft and smooths on the skin with ease.
How easily can you use it at home? Pretty easily, you just need to know where your face needs some contouring – some contouring around the hollows of the cheeks to give the illusion of defined cheekbones or some illuminating around the brows to give the illusion of a more open eye. The tricks are endless and I’m sure the team at the Tom Ford Beauty counters can give you plenty of tips. As you can see from the photo below, you can see that the contouring and illuminating is subtle but gives my arm some nice definition.
Would we buy this product? Not normally, we’re usually huge fans of our powder bronze and illuminators, but after we played around with this a little more, we’re in love. Even with the AUD$100 price tag it is a great compact for holidays and breezy summer days when you want some definition but don’t feel the need to wear a foundation.
