LFW: Erdem Spring/Summer 2012 gives us a romantic bouquet of flowers

The Savoy ballroom was perfect for Erdem Moralioglu’s Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show during London Fashion Week, providing a fresh and modern take on florals. The show began with soft blue hydrangea and corn flower prints, matched perfectly with crimson lips, and dresses falling off the shoulder or collared. Following were several stunning all white lace dresses or pencil skirt and tailored shirt options. The next print option was soft lemon with hints of red poppies, with skirts that were high waisted and with pleats. The dresses had shoe string straps, in particular a yellow calf length dress with a triangular cut plunging neckline that was quite sexy and little more daring from Erdem.

The collection was accessorised with small hats perched on top of the models heads or lady like gloves in sheer lace or floral print to match the dresses. What was new in the collection was the introduction of hot pants, in the blue hydrangea print with lace paneling or the lemon hued poppy print. Erdem also included several trenches in the collection but what almost bought many in the crowd to tears were the nude lace embellished gowns, with a version in white also, perfect for a modern wedding.
