The House of Prada (and therefore Miu Miu) are on quite a roll when it comes to creative and awe-inspiring fashion videos. Miu Miu’s MUTA short film by Lucrecia Martel celebrates the beauty that is the Miu Miu Noir sunglasses collection in a cinematic display that combines vintage with a modern flair and we’re in love – with both the sunglasses and the film.
Muta by Lucrecia Martel is the second chapter in the The Miu Miu Women’s Tales saga and according to the release it explores the multi-faceted nature of women by exploring the possibility of transforming the objects in the scene, in this case glasses, into actual actors and enhancing their interpretative expression.
We love that during the entire short that eyes and faces appear on the screen, until we’re finally allowed to catch a glimpse of the Miu Miu Noir sunglasses in a series of tight shots or are the lens of the director’s camera. It’s a subtle detail that creates a sense of urgency for the viewer to see what the fuss is all about.
And it’s worth it. We love the angular shapes of the Miu Miu Noir’s and think that the matte black Noir’s have our name on them – check out more photos of the sunglasses below, include the current Miu Miu face Hailee Steinfeld.
Miu Miu’s Noir Sunglasses Collection will be available to purchase around the world in Miu Miu boutiques and select Sunglass Hut stores from January 2012.
Oh mon Dieu! That glasses are incredible! I would become the happiest person in the whole world if I could only once put them on..Hmm. Unfortunately, they’re too expensive. And you know, in my native country the price is even higher threefold.
