Most of the world now knows of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as an actress who replaced Megan Fox in the third Transformers movie, but the fashion world first met her when she debuted for Victoria’s Secret in 2006 and then for Burberry in their Fall 2008 advertising campaign.
Several advertising campaigns later with the luxury British fashion brand, Huntington-Whiteley has been unveiled as the new face and body of Burberry’s newest fragrance: Burberry Body.
“Burberry Body is the most exciting launch that we have ever created and captures the iconic spirit of the brand today in a striking and sensual way,” said Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative Officer – Burberry in a release. “Rosie’s effortless style and her staggering beauty made her the natural choice as the first Burberry Body.”
The video above and the accompanying teasing ad campaign image (below) is just the beginning of an entire multimedia ad campaign. Wearing just a rose gold satin Burberry trench coat and the fragrance in the image shot by Mario Testino, Huntington-Whiteley leaves very little to the imagination.
“It’s a huge honour to be working with Burberry again, a brand that put my career on the map and helped launch me. To be asked to be the first ‘Burberry Body’ is an amazing compliment,” says Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Burberry Body launches in over 150 countries from September 1st 2011 and an iconic portfolio of ‘Burberry Bodies’ also shot by Testino iconizing the fragrance for years to come will also be created to coincide with the launch.
