It’s not often we gush about a look book or children’s wear for that matter, but the Lanvin pre-collection 2012 is just divine. Delving into children’s wear for the first time the line is called Lanvin Petite with Alber Elbaz takes inspiration from the French fashion house’s founder Jeanne Lanvin and her love for her daughter Marguerite to create twenty-five pieces for young girls aged from 4 to 10 years old.
Taking notes of the Lanvin pre-collection 2012 womenswear line, Lanvin Petite brings a playful (if not expensive) touch to childrenswear with the combination of rich fabrics and charming detail. Ruffled dresses, gorgeous mix and match separates will see your daughter looking like the perfect little angle as she totters around in Lanvin ballet flats and her hair tied up in a bow.
As for the Lanvin pre-collection 2012 womenswear line, it’s everything we have come to expect from Elbaz and his feminine but modern luxury design sensibility. He mixes exquisite and luxurious materials with ease, teaming washed organza embroidered with crystals, satin ribbon and grosgrain. As with most pre and resort collections there is an extra wearability running through the collection with fantastic trousers, coats, shirts and tshirts mixed among statement dresses in bright colours or shiny fabrics. We love the swimsuits, jumpsuits and the abundance of stunning handbags, belts sunglasses, jewellery and footwear.
What we would do own several pieces from this collection.
