Henry Holland has launched his first ever Pre-Spring 2012 collection for his namesake brand, the House of Holland with the boldness and brightness of eighties style. Never one to shy away from colour, for Pre-Spring he has released a video starring British model Eliza Cummings miming to Neneh Cherry’s chart topping song Buffalo Stance.
I’d say most of the House of Holland’s fans wouldn’t remember who Neneh Cherry was – because we don’t. A Swedish singer-songwriter and rapper, Cherry topped music charts around the world from the late 1980s to 1990s. The fashion tie-in runs deep with the title of the song refers to Buffalo, a group of photographers, models, musicians, hair and make-up artists formed by the late Ray Petri.
