Beauty at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week by Kimmi
Gail Sorronda never shys away from a bit of fun on the catwalk, and this collection was no different. The hair and make-up for this show reflected Gail’s minimalist black & white style. There was a level of femininity and cuteness to the look, but definitely futuristic. Will we be wearing our brows this way in 15 years? I am scared at the thought.

Skin: After the skin was prepped with Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum and Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer, the make-up artists applied Mighty Concealer Pen to get the skin to one even tone. Followed by Foundation Stick for a full coverage application with a perfectly matte finish.
Brows: As the brows were the ‘statement piece’, the hairs were neatly brushed into place, with China Doll Gel Eyeliner in pure white Alabaster drawn perfectly over the top in a horizontal line.
Eyes: Almost left completely bare, Napoleon decided on just an itty bit of China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Alabaster to compliment the brow.
Cheeks: To give the face a bit of ‘light’, a small amount of Mighty Concealer Pen in Mellow Yellow was applied as a highlighter.
Lips: Again this was left barely untouched. Original Auto Pilot Lip Service was applied before extending the foundation over the entire lips.
Nails at Gail Sorronda S/S 2011-12 by CND
Fingernails received pre-painted ‘moon’ manicures from the Creative Nail Design artists. Surprisingly, the base colour was a beautiful flesh tone that complimented the make-up perfectly, and topped off with a white reverse French tip. I really like that the nails didn’t sport any black tones because it kept the hands looking pretty and not dramatic.

“Front-on the look appears dry, chalky and austere, which then changes to a sleek, glossy minimalism when they turn.”
Brad chose products from the L’Oréal Professionnel Techni.art range to create the look.
