L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival may have just ended, but over on the west coast of Australia, they’re gearing up for an exclusive preview of Kym Ellery’s Ellery spring 2011 collection on the runway. Tied in to celebrate the announcement of the Perth Fashion Festival in September, the invitation only runway presentation is set for next Tuesday March 29th.
“We are honoured that Kym has chosen PFF as the launching pad for her new collection. It is testament to the fact that Western Australia is becoming increasingly recognised for the unique flair of its local designers and talent,” PFF Director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan said in a release.
We asked Ellery‘s local PR whether this means they will/won’t be doing a runway show or a presentation of her spring 2011 collection on the east coast with Rosemount Australian Fashion Week to which Emma van Handel of EVH PR replied:
We still might do something for summer 11 either part or apart from RAFW. The Perth show is of the spring collection.
Ohh the mystery. We snuck a peek at the Ellery Spring/Summer 2011 look book (but am not allowed to post pictures) and we love almost every piece. Kym Ellery’s design aesthetic is maturing beyond party girl dresses and we love it.
Perth Fashion Festival will run from 21 – 27 September 2011.
