We grew up with a slew of Hello Kitty branded items as a child, so for us all the popular Sanrio characters will be intricately linked to our preschool years. But for lovers of Hello Kitty and her friends, Dr Martens have announced a follow up to their 50th anniversary Sanrio collaboration last year.
Dr Martens x Hello Kitty Spring/Summer 2011 will see the Shoreditch Boot and the Carnaby Mary Jane debut in the cutest print featuring everyone’s favourite Sanrio characters: Hello Kitty®, Chococat®, Keroppi®, Little Twin Stars®, My Melody® and Patty & Jimmy™.
If you had given me the Carnaby Mary Janes when I was 4, I would have been the happiest little girl in the world. No word on the retail price, but if the first collaboration is anything to go by, the Carnaby should have a RRP of about USD$120 with the boots around USD$165.
The collaboration will launch in Dr Martens, Sanrio stores and online at Sanrio.com from Mid April 2011 with select stores in Germany, Benelux, France, Croatia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand also stocking the range.
