We’re huge fans of Dion Lee here at SASSYBELLA.com, ever since he lured us to his first solo show at an underground Kings Cross car park last year and then to the beautiful Sydney Opera House this May. Watching his collections develop over time has been awe-filled as the younger designer develops his style while managing to create covetable collections every time. With his website still under construction, we hadn’t laid our eyes on Lee’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection and were pleasantly surprised when Susie Lau posted up a whole slew of them from a showing she attended. We love that she has some fantastic things to say about Lee. On his FW 2011 collection she waxes:
Instead, Lee marries up the attainment of bodily perfection in ballet with his own search for body sculpting through his pattern cutting, which makes for a clever nod to the theme at hand.
We couldn’t agree more. Check out her prose and images here.
I’ve psaehrucd from H&M in the past and have been satisfied with their pricing, quality and wearability. I actually thought they already had a line of recycled dresses out there. I think they deserve an E for effort anyway.
