It was revealed earlier this year that Australian fashion brand Sass & Bide had signed a deal with Range Rover. And now their first official campaign “Pulse of the City” has been unveiled, along with an accompany iPhone app. The stylish duo of Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton join the likes of Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman, Henry Holland, Daisy Lowe, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Neil Barret and Josh Rubin in promoting the Range Rover Evoque and their home city of Sydney, Australia in a campaign targeted to 10 key cities worldwide.
Called “Pulse of the City” because the Range Rover wanted their famous faces to talk about their journey around their favourite cities to ‘create a living interactive guide to the urban spaces they call home’. Check out Sarah-Jane and Heidi’s video above as they talk about what makes them love Sydney so much.
And what does this have to do with Range Rover’s new Evoque car? Well it’s a fashionable little thing – small, light, stylish and the most fuel efficient Range Rover ever produce. And the Evoque (a play on the word evoke perhaps) was reportedly inspired by the 10 cities that are part of the “Pulse of the City” campaign – New York, London, Moscow, Sao Paolo, Milan, Madrid, Paris, Berlin and Sydney.
“The alignment with Range Rover feels like a natural fit,” Sarah-Jane and Heidi said when the news first broke of the partnership. “We share the same values, and to us, the Range Rover brand represents luxury in a stylish but practical way. We are very honoured to be ambassadors of this timeless brand.”
Locally in Sydney, chef Peter Evans and media personality Mia Freedman also front campaigns for “Pulse of the City”.
