Cosmetic’s brand Almay has a new spokesperson, a rather glamorous high profile one in the form of Kate Hudson, marking this has her first major beauty contract (after all her partnership with David Babaii for WildAid hair products hasn’t exactly rocked the industry). “Almay is known for its fresh, effortless approach to beauty,” Hudson said in a release. “I share that philosophy and I’m honored to be partnering with a brand that believes cosmetics should bring out the natural beauty inside every woman. At the end of the day, we all want to have fun and feel beautiful – that’s what Almay is all about.”
Hudson’s first campaign for Almay will be for their Intense I Colour line which is set to break this summer. She follows in the footsteps of Stephanie Seymour, Karen Duffy, Lisa Butler, Kathie Lee Gifford, Lauren Hutton, Courtney Thorne-Smith and most recently Elaine Irwin as an international spokeswoman for the brand which hasn’t been pursuing major celebrity faces since Courtney Thorne-Smith’s contract expired with the brand in the early 2000’s.
