I remember as a kid I use to love Disney cartoons, there was nothing like the stories of Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and the rest of the gang. Combine that with my love of fashion I think long-time Disney cartoonist Ulrich Schroder is my vote for the man of the month. He has cleverly turned the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Stefano Gabbana & Domenico Dolce, Donatella Versace, John Paul Gaultier, Sonia & Nathalie Rykiel and Alber Elbaz into classic Disney characters for the April 2010 issue of Elle Spain. If you look closely, there are an abundance of other characters from various Disney movies featured, like Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, the seven dwarfs, Lilo & Stitch, the Three Little Pigs, Toy Story characters and many more.
The editorial depicts the fashion experiences of Disney characters, Carabella and Minnie Mouse as they live their lives in a very fashionable Disney world. This whimsical look at fashion designers is not uncommon with Harper’s Bazaar turning fashion designers into The Simpson’s characters back in 2007. But we think we love this more.
Who’s who in Elle Spain’s La Moda Animada (animated fashion) editorial:
Karl Lagerfeld: Goofy?
Donatella Versace: Daisy Duck
Jean Paul Gaultier: Donald Duck?
Marc Jacobs: Donald Duck?
Sonia & Nathalie Rykiel: Della Duck & ?
Alber Elbaz: ??
Stefan Gabanna & Domenico Dolce: Pluto/Goofy & Mickey (respectively)
John Galliano: Ludwig von Drake? (Donald Duck’s Uncle)
Such adorable photos!
I would say that Karl Lagerfeld is the Big Bad Wolf (notice the three little pigs), Sonia Rykiel is Magica de Spell (notice the broomsticks), Alber Elbaz is possibly Gus Goose and I would think that John Galliano is a very muscular version of Gladstone Gander! =)
