Kooky British designer Zandra Rhodes is set to make the trek to New Zealand for March’s iD Dunedin Fashion Week 2010. Known for her love of colour and bold prints, Rhodes is set to show her current designs as well as vintage designs from the late 60 and early 70s at the iD Dunedin Fashion show on March 12th and 13th.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be coming to beautiful New Zealand and very excited about my first ever visit to Dunedin and iD Fashion Week,” she said in a release.
“A highlight of the fashion week will be judging the emerging designer collections at the iD Awards show. I’ll be looking for originality and flair in their collections and that special something that sets them apart as a designer.”
In its 11th year, iD Dunedin Fashion week will run from March 8 – 14, culminating in the popular fashion show at Dunedin’s Railway station on a 110 metre long runway and is open for the public to buy tickets to enjoy emerging and established designers on the runway.
If you’re in town, tickets go on sale next Tuesday 26 January at 9am from TicketDirect – the key events to snap up tickets for is the Emerging Designer Awards on Thursday 11 March and the iD Dunedin Fashion Show on Friday 12 March and Saturday 13 March.
