We all the big 2 Arab airlines – Emirates and Eithad – but have you ever heard of Oman Air? If not, you should definitely remember them for their very high-end fashion connection – their cabin crew and ground staffs uniforms have been designed by the house of Balenciaga. Obviously cost wasn’t a factor when it came to finding the ideal fashion house to work with as Oman Air went straight to the top of the pile when they contracted Nicolas Ghesquiere and his team to design the turquoise blue Oman Air uniforms which the airline hopes will make a contemporary yet elegant fashion statement.

It seems that airline uniforms are a popular place for high fashion designers with Cythia Rowley redesigning the uniforms for United Airlines and of course there is Christian Lacroix’s designs for Air France, Julien McDonald for British Airways, Richard Tyler for Delta Airlines, Gianfranco Ferre for Korean Air, Pierre Cardin for Air India and Pierre Balmain for Singapore Airlines.
