Who says summer is not a big deal in Australia? We live for the sunshine and the beach (if you’re lucky to live near the water) and the ladies behind Zimmermann know it. They’re opening a Summer pop-up store at Whale Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches next week, embracing their childhood memories of summer’s in Australia.
The idea was watched when Nicky and Simone Zimmermann worked on their swim campaign in Montauk, New York – a world away from the lifestyle of Sydney’s Northern Beaches – and returned with the determination that they would find a location that embodied the nostalgia and quirkiness of Australian beach side living.
“This is fun project for us,” said Creative Director Nicky Zimmermann. “What I love about this store is that we can really play with the concept behind our swim collection. As well as offering everything needed for a day at the beach, whether it’s a bikini, a great dress or bag, we will we will be stocking other items that we love for summer – some great summer reads, skin product and some one-off accessories.”
Zimmermann’s Summer Store will be exclusively dedicated to their swim and resort collections, opening on December 1st 2009 until January 31st 2010.
