Jimmy Choo and the Elton John AIDS Foundation could have come together and just designed a canvas tote bag and sold them for charity, but it seems the creative minds had something more fabulous in mind. So let me introduce you to their fabulous photo competition aimed at creating awareness for Project PEP. Themed ‘You, Your Shoe and 72’, the competition calls for submissions from amateur photographers that fit that theme.
All it takes is one submission and you will go into the draw to win the grand prize of a whopping seven pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes and two handbags! It’s all about creating awareness for this important issue so the more entries and the more we all spread the word the better.
Later this month Jimmy Choo’s Tamara Mellon will also be launching the ‘PEP-Up Shop’ where a specially designs collection of PEP-Up items will be available for sale. Proceeds from the sales will be donated to Simelela Rape Centre in South Africa and help raise awareness around HIV prevention and victims of rape.
Check out JimmyChoo72.com for more information about the competition and Project PEP.
Note: Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) is a HIV-preventative treatment which must be taken within 72 hours of exposure to HIV, hence the significance of the number 72 in the images.
