Milan tops Paris and New York as world’s fashion capital

There have been some movers and shakers in the list of the world’s most fashionable cities – Milan has risen from fourth place last year to the top of the list, ending New York’s five-year reign as number one. Meanwhile, Paris hold firmly to third and Rome, previously the second most fashionable city, has dropped down to fourth.

The list was compiled by Global Language Monitor who track the frequency of words and phrases in the media, on the Internet and throughout the blogosphere.

New cities to hit the top 10 are Hong Kong and Sao Paulo, pushing the likes of Sydney, Las Vegas Tokyo and Berlin out of the down.
