Diane von Furstenberg may have a business that has seen her grow from a brand that was just about wrap dresses to one which shows numerous collections ever year, has 31 boutiques and sold in department stores around the world. But there is one thing the president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America wouldn’t mind, to create a legacy with her granddaughter, Talita von Furstenberg at the helm.
In an interview with the New York Times, the 62 year old designer said “I want to create a legacy. I would love for her to take over.”
One could argue she already has a legacy in fashion and we should let the 10-year-old girl grow up first but you never know. “[Talita] comes up and she says, ‘You have the most fun job in the world,’ ” von Furstenberg says.
