These photos have made their way around the web and back in less than 24 hours, but since I didn’t get a chance to write about them yesterday, here they are: Emma Watson for Burberry Autumn Winter 2009. Isn’t she stunning? The photographs were taken in Westminster, near Burberry’s new global headquarters, Horseferry House, by Mario Testino.
“I wanted the images to represent both the rich history and the modernity of the Burberry brand whilst at the same time reflecting a quiet beauty, timelessness and strength that is particularly significant today,” Christopher Bailey, Creative Director of Burberry said.
“Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign who like the images she fronts, has a classic beauty a great character and a modern edge.”
In other fashion news…
- Stella McCartney has signed on to design a one-off collection with GapKids and babyGap – which means children will be the best dressed kids in Stella McCartney for a fraction of the cost of mothers wanting to wear McCartney. “For years I’ve wanted to create a collection for kids,” McCartney stated. “I believe that kids’ clothing should be more accessibly priced, which is particularly important at the moment, given the current climate.” [WWD] So how big are GapKids sizes??
- And as a antidote to high fashion above, we go as low as mentioning the fact that The Hills cosmetically enhanced beauty, Heidi Pratt (nee Montag) will be launching a dry-shampoo line called Heidi Montag Dry Shampoo. She loves dry shampoo so much that she reportedly burst into tears when her ‘luxury” (the shampoo) was stolen from her during her short stint on ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’. [Life and Style] I honestly don’t know what to say.
