With Project Runway leaving for Lifetime and Rachel Zoe’s series splitting audiences, Bravo are looking to launch another hit fashion television show.
Set to be called Fashion House, the show aims to find out if up and coming designers have what it takes to work in one of the most elite fashion houses in the world.
Currently accepting applications here, you must sent a 10 minute video showcasing your skills as a fashion designer. While it doesn’t say so, I’m assuming they want designers who are willing to work for a big design house like Marc Jacobs or Calvin Klein and create their vision – Looks like PR4’s Jillian Lewis wouldn’t be interested in taking part then.
— I wonder if this is anything like a British fashion design television show from 2003, also called Fashion House. The show was hosted by Neil Barrett, former Creative Director at Puma and one of the contestants was none other than Gareth Pugh. Even back then, his design esthetic was eccentric, creating patterns with fireworks and sending models down the runway in giant bubbles.
Shame the Channel 4 show didn’t have a huge following – I don’t even remember how I came to watch it but I did love Pugh’s vision and quirky designs.
