After years of targeting the teen market with spokespeople like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ashlee Simpson and Carrie Underwood, Skechers are targeting a new market.
The family market.
Now when you think aspirational family person, I bet you think of Tori Spelling.
The Beverly Hills 90210 star is set to feature in Skechers’ new ‘Nothing Compares to Family’ ads with her 13-month-old son, Liam, one in a series of family themed ads.
In celebration of family, the ‘Nothing Compares to Family’ campaign will see the ads tagged with a charity of the celebrity’s choice, ones that are family-related, such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International or Habitat for Humanity, which builds homes for families.
The campaign reportedly builds upon a recent successful family shoot featuring hipster mothers with their daughters.
What makes me wonder is with such a high profile former line up, two of which are now mothers, wouldn’t Britney and Christina look great reprising their roles and Sketchers spokespeople with their sons?
Stay tuned while we try to hunt down the Tori for Sketchers images…

argh! this is rather odd.
Hmm also a bit offputting. I liked Skechers.
Nothing majorly wrong with Tori but seems Skechers isn’t interested in me as a customer anymore!
Its such as you read my thoughts! You appear to grasp a lot about this, like you wrote the e-book in it or something. I believe that you just can do with some p.c. to force the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I will definitely be back.
