Men look good on the arm of Gisele Bundchen. How else can you explain the fact that she’s scored 2 out of the 3 Vogue covers which feature men? The Brazilian bombshell is currently featured on the cover of Vogue’s April 2008 issue with NBA star, LeBron James.
Though Bundchen and James aren’t the only two model and sports star pairings in the magazine’s annual Shape issue, with swimmer Michael Phelps photographed with Caroline Trentini, snowboarder Shaun White with Daria Werbowy, speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno with Doutzen Kroes, and discus thrower Jared Rome with Raquel Zimmermann.
In the accompanying editorial photographed by Annie Leibovitz, the models discuss each other’s bodies, which must have been quite an experience, especially for Bundchen and James. Though Bundchen, who stands 5-foot-11, told Vogue she wasn’t intimated by James’ 6-foot-8, 350-pound frame.
“He doesn’t really make you feel small, even though he is big,” Bundchen said of James’ 6-foot-8, 350-pound frame next to her 5â€11 frame. “I think my leg is like the size of his shoe.”
Bunchen previously appeared on the cover of Vogue with George Clooney in 2000, while Richard Gere appeared on the cover in 1992 with his then girlfriend, Cindy Crawford.
Not loving this new cover. They both look weird. Not Annie’s best work. Maybe Tom Brady would have been a much better choice. No offense Lebron, but Tom is hotter!
