Hot off the news that Richard Chai is designing a collection for Target, popular Australian designer, Alice McCall is set to design a collection for Topshop.
Known for her quirky-cool boho style pieces which fuse bright colours with fun flirty skirts and dresses, McCall’s collection for Topshop would be hotly anticipated with her pieces seen worn by the likes of Mischa Barton, Natalia Imbruglia and Destiny’s Child.
StylePS are reporting that pieces will retail from around £80 compared to more than double that price and set to hit Topshop on May 5. Judging from the sketches, these are pieces that would be perfect for your summer party wardrobe – and much more cooler than Kate Moss for Topshop. At least I think so.
McCall’s last designed a chain store collaboration with Australian Target as part of their Designers for Target program, together with Tina Kalivas and T.L. Wood.
I like how this collection pulls together quite nicely. Not particularly wearable for me though 🙂 Too short or tight.
meh for kate moss and yay for alice mccall! 😛
dont think the collection is something i’ll wear but its quirky and i can see how some lucky folks look fabulicious in it.
Gosh the collection does look gorgeous. Why didn’t we get something like this when she designed for Target? The prints are perfect and the cuts look cute. I love the one shoulder Wow dress. The high waist skirt gets a nice update with the print detail as well.
I have a couple of friends in London… it might be worth asking them to stop by Top Shop for me.
