Chloe Sevigny is a woman in demand. She’s a style advisor for British Elle and is currently the face of Chloe’s Chloe fragrance, now she’s been tapped as an ambassador for the Samsonite Black Label Trunk Collection.
The latest collection to be launched by the Black Label, Sevigny will act as the brands ambassador, helping to launch the Trunk Collection: a handmade, limited edition line of travel pieces, with designs that date to the original Samsonite trunk from the Twenties.
“The trunk that I have found in our archives is probably one of the most iconic cases in travel history and conjures up a romanticism and nostalgia of the days when a trans-European or transcontinental trip was long and luxurious, to be savored and only available to a handful of people,” said Samsonite creative director Quentin MacKay.
The Trunk Collection will retail for $365 to $625 with six travel pieces to choose from: the original Heritage trunk, two upright trunks on wheels, a beauty case, an attaché case and a pilot case. Each will feature traditional handmade luggage construction techniques and original locks.
Sevigny follows in the footsteps of Christina Ricci who acted as the ambassador for Samsonite’s Fashionaire collection launch last year.
