Natalie Portman has often mentioned in interviews that because of her vegetarian beliefs, all her shoes are all from Target or Stella McCartney – as they aren’t made from animal products.
Well now she can just wear her own designs.
In collaboration with Te Casan, Portman has designed a collection of vegan friendly shoes that will debut at the brand’s New York boutique in February 2008.
No word on what the shoes will look like – besides the Beatrix Ong-esque red patent Mary-Janes Portman is wearing on the Te Casan website – but you should be able to preview and pre-order pairs from January 15 with 5% of all vegan shoe profits will be going to charity.
The only questions that remains are – how much will the shoes cost, and will they destroy your feet?
Here’s a great site for vegan shoes, boots, and more! Totally affordable and very trendy!
