My friend got me on to watching Project Runway, after her trip to Vietnam where she picked up the last 3 seasons, we were both hooked. Project Runway season four starts in the US on November 14, 2007 and the list of designers has already been revealed. I can’t wait to get my dose of Tim Gunn and Nina Garcia. it looks like the youngest designer is 21, with the oldest a 46 year old from California. Check out the full list and competitor bios at bravotv.com.
Meanwhile, with news that a Canadaian Project Runway hosted by Iman is set to start airing next Monday, it makes me wonder when is the Australian Project Runway due to announce it’s host?
If you believe what you read in the newspapers, it’s between two Australian models in the form of Megan Gale and Kristy Hinze after Sarah Murdoch (nee O’Hare) reportedly turned down the role in July.
As the original US series was hosted by German supermodel Heidi Klum, and Gale and Hinze are both being pursued by the network – their top international fashion backgrounds making each lovely lady an ideal choice to host the Australian version.
Gale is well rehearsed for fronting TV cameras, having hosted Channel 9 series What A Year and presented several guest spots on Getaway. But Hinze has made no secret of her desire to swapping modelling for the small screen and legging it from the catwalk and into the world of film and TV.
Stay tuned – as soon as we know more, you’ll know too. The Australian series is due to be screened on pay TV’s Arena channel. What’s the bet that the designer judge will be Alex Perry or Wayne Cooper…
[Edit: 13 Feb, 2008]
The host has been decided, it’s Kristy Hinze. So now Project Runway Australia is accepting applications. Click here to find out more.

I can’t wait till Project Runway starts! I agree with you that the best people are Tim Gunn and Nina Garcia. Michael Kors is always so tan and his hair blends in with his face.
