As we reported last month, Roland Mouret’s back on the catwalk during Paris Haute Couture week. And the 21 looks from that collection will be shown on Net-a-porter this Thursday 5th July at 5.30pm GMT (12.30pm New York, 9.30am Los Angeles). And if anything catches your eye, you will also be able to preorder the collection then and there as well.
This is a such a fantastic coup for Net-A-Porter’s owner, Natalie Massenet. The sales of Mr. Mouret’s signature femme fatale dresses were “relatively exceptional for a ready-to-wear designer,” Ms. Massenet said, and the “galaxy” dress worn by the likes of Victoria Beckham, Keira Knightley, and Scarlett Johansson, was the single most sought-after piece of clothing in the history of Net-a-porter.”
According to the NY Times, Ms. Massenet has been working with the designer to create a video of the show so that customers can buy a $700 top, a $3,000 coat or a pair of $925 shoes made by Mr. Louboutin by clicking on them as they come down the runway.
Ladies, keep in mind that while you can order pieces from the collection now, they won’t be ready to ship until November.
