Levis unveiled a new accessory this week, a mobile phone.
Following in the footsteps of Dolce & Gabanna and Prada to design mobile phones, the Levis phone features the usual features you would find in a phone today (camera, mp3 player). The feature that sets it apart from the high fashion brands is that it also includes a detachable chain which you can attach to your (Levis) jeans or bag.
“Technology is at the heart of today’s youth culture and mobile phones are the ultimate accessory. Adding a mobile phone to our collection is a natural progression for Levi’s, a brand that is driven to meet the desires of young people”, says You Nguyen, Senior Vice President of Levi’s Product.
The Levis phone is available in metallic silver, black and brown copper with two shiny silver and shiny sand editions with mirror screens. It will be available in selected stores throughout Europe as of September 2007.
