Where were the crowds? Broadway’s Target store was the designated ‘media’ store but the crowds for the media to photograph and interview consisted of a small handful of women and girls. Perhaps after the drama that was Stella McCartney for Target Australia, the fashionable public decided to steer clear and go to work instead of to for the Josh Goot for Target collection.
So what was the collection like in the flesh? Well according to SASSYBELLA.com reader, Kate, the clothes were a bit of a let down. “I was a bit disappointed with the Josh Goot stuff. Everything was too long,” Kate said. “I am 5’10” and I am complaining that it was too long, so I can only imagine how those 5’6″ would have fared. The models in the promo pictures must have been TALL.”
“Overall I was disappointed. The dresses will really only suit people with a totally kickin bod. The trench would have been really nice in the black too. Though I did still walk out having spent $260 on two items.”
And like the Stella for Target collection, the sizes were reportedly bigger than your standard sizes too. Sizing aside, Kate did pick up the IT item of the collection, the silver trench coat. So if you happen to be near a Target, why not pop by and check it out. Even if you don’t buy anything, it could be worth a look.

I would love to know the opinion of others who have tried the Josh Goot for Target stuff on. How did it fit you? I am thinking I should maybe get the silver tank. The grey marle trench was also lovely and more wearable than the silver, but I had to have the silver. I tried it on for my boyfriend last night (at his insistence) and he commented that it is very sexy. He also surprisingly liked the hooded zip up dress/cardie.
I liked this collection better than the Stella McCartney as it felt like a well-thought out capsule collection. It was also better made and finished that Stella’s. Bought the hooded zip dress but will wear it as a long cardie.
Much too flimsy, and there wasn’t much of variety. Bit of a let down.
