Looking for cute summer dresses? Or in my case, I look for more dresses full stop. Eyelet and broderie dresses are perfect for summer, they’re light and the cut outs on a smock style dress gives you an air of innocence and make the perfect day dress. The trend was bought in by Chloe a few summers ago, and all you have to do is decide how much you want to pay for one.
There is the Lighthouse Dress by Nanette Lepore (left), the white broderie anglaise mini dress is complete with with 1/2 sleeves, oversized white buttons and white ribbon tie around the waist and priced at $735. In the mid price range there is the Marnie Skillings Puff Sleeve Mini (middle) for AUD$560 (approx US$430) with sweet puff sleves and lace detailing down the front and hemline of the dress.
Last but not least is the As You Wish Eyelet shift dress (right) from Alloy for only $39.50 – bargain! The scoop neck and semi-puff sleeves are so sweet – you’ll find yourself asking if you really like the one’s that cost hundreds of dollars more.
