The second Australian Burberry flagship store opened during the week in Sydney.
The King street store has over three floors of Burberry clothes – including the entire Burberry Prorsum ready-to-wear range for men and women, including the trademark trenchcoats ($2585), Manor bags ($3185) and Prorsum jackets ($5785). Based on the New Bond St., London flagship, the store also features the ready-to-wear Burberry London Collection for men and women, as well as accessories, eyewear, fragrance, timepieces, and the Burberry Icons Collection, launched to mark the company’s 150th anniversary.
“What I love about Australia is that Australians are always relaxed,” says Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s Creative Director.
“I’m desperate to go, but the problem is my schedule. I don’t want to fly in and then straight back out. I want to spend at least four days there.”
The Sydney store is Burberry’s second store in Australia, following the Melbourne store opened in October 2003. The opening décor has the latest Kate Moss, Stella Tennant and co staring in their 150th anniversary advertising campaigns.
