Project Runway is about to hit Arena TV in Australia this month. The Emmy nominated show will be hosted by the stunningly beautiful Heidi Klum, pictured here in a gorgeous Sass & Bide dress at the New York premiere of Project Runway 2.
The show focuses on 12 talented and hungry fashion designers compete for the chance to have their own fashion line shown on television all over the world. Contestants face elimination on a weekly basis based on their designs, until only three remain.
The finalists then face-off with full lines at the glamorous New York Fashion Week in front of many influential industry insiders.
If this is anything like Fashion House, a fashion design reality TV show which aired in Australia 2 years ago on SBS, where viewers got and insight on the whole artistic process of fashion design – both the inspiration and work it took to put pieces together, this is definitely a must watch for anyone interested in design or fashion.
Shame that ARENA have chosen to screen Season 1 now, when Season 2 just started airing in the US. Better late then never though! So tune into ARENA TV, Saturday January 21 at 7:30pm.

Is Australia doing its own project runway?? …. any info on how to apply for this or when it is happening
Hi Hayley,
I haven’t heard anything about an Australian version of Project Runway, but if you’re looking to be part of a design competition, McDonald’s Australia is looking for new uniform designs. Hurry though, entries close at the end of the month.
