Needless to say Jason Wu‘s fashion star keeps getting brighter and brighter ever since his designs was showcased to the world on America’s First Lady, Michelle Obama. Now he’s collaborated with CND (Creative Nail Design) to design a limited edition collection of four nail polish colours and a new effect top coat. It was first unveiled in his recent New York Fashion Week runway show with models wearing Miss Wu, a matte limestone grey on their toes and Veronica, a blue-based red. The names of the other colours are: Briditte, Sophia and the Anna Effect.
“Every season I play with different ways of using color in my collection, so it was a natural choice to collaborate with CND on a capsule of nail colors that reflects my aesthetics. Included in the set is my signature gray color,” says Jason Wu. The collaboration will be released in May 2011 with only 16,500 sets to be produced. [WWD via TheNailFile]
